There was an incident at the hotel involving theft.  Items were taken from an open vehicle.  It was reported to the police.Bryan Wade:  Director of Community Policing spoke at the board meeting.  He spoke about the street lights. He is looking for volunteers  to assist in the issue.  His idea is to go ward by ward to identify nonfunctional street lights.  There are 15 wards in Harrisburg.  He is looking for volunteers in each ward to identify which lights need addressed.  There is also a faith based initiative to assist in this effort.  Also, he suggested SNA mentor other neighborhood associations which are not as well organized.  Sharing best practices is a goal.  His goal is for an overall increase in volunteerism over many aspects in terms of the city.  He can be used as a conduit to address problems with the city. Phone: 255-3080, Email: bwade@cityofhbg.com.Homeless issue was discussed.  Drinking in the park and littering by the homeless was discussed.  The suggestion was to revisit the issue under the I-83 Bridge again with Representative Kim.  It is not in the jurisdiction of the city.
