  • Joanne reported that the committee has been meeting weekly and plans are continuing for our second annual Groundhog Day Celebration on Saturday, January 31 at 10:00 a.m. in the Conoy Street Playground. The festivities then will move into a historic carriage house on Showers Street with music, food and fun for the whole family. Free donuts, coffee and other treats will be provided in addition to a special children’s program with groundhog-themed story time and arts/crafts. She reported a t-shirt logo has been designed and shirts will be ordered, in addition to buttons and magnets and will be available for sale. Proceeds will support neighborhood beautification and other projects and programs.
  • In planning for our March Social, Dave Witwer will contact the John Harris Mansion for the availability of March 15 or 29 beginning at 4:00. It will be a covered dish meal. Various types of entertainment for the event were discussed and a final decision will be made at the next meeting.

  • The need for a new fence around the Conoy Street Playground was discussed. Repairs to the current fence will be done in the spring and we will hold fundraisers to replace it as soon as possible.
